GIQS Virtual Stakeholder Workshop and Training
On 15 and 16 December 2021, the GIQS Virtual Stakeholder Workshop and Training on the EMPIR project | GIQS - Graphene Impedance Quantum Standard will be held.
The project will establish a new primary standard for impedance, linked to the revised SI Units, by exploiting quantum effects of graphene. In the third year since its start, relevant scientific goals have been achieved. The partners wish to share the acquired knowledge with the aim to strengthen the collaboration with stakeholders and scientists and technicians working in the field of electrical metrology.
The session, held from 13.30 to 15.30 CET, concerns:
“Graphene quantum Hall devices”
Intro – Klaus Pierz PTB, Coordinator
- The GIQS project – Luca Callegaro, INRiM
- Fabrication of graphene QHE devices – Mattias Kruskopf, PTB
- Electrical characterisation in DC – DongHun Chae, KRISS
- Novel cryogenic environments – Hans He, RISE
The session, held from 13.30 to 15.30 CET, concerns:
“Impedance metrology”
- Josephson digital bridges – Stephan Bauer / Ralf Behr, PTB
- Electronic digital bridges – Martina Marzano, INRiM
- AC measurements – Frédéric Overney, METAS
- A day in an impedance standard lab – Jan Kučera, CMI
