How to use photons for luminous intensity standard, optical communications and environmental monitoring
An accurate characterisation of photonic instrumentation is very important for optical communications, environmental monitoring, realisation and study of new materials.
We develop original methods for characterisation of optical structures on nanometre scale, like single photon sources, and for their application in metrology, as well as in detection and processing of classical and quantum information. We also investigate photoactive polymeric materials for wavelength selective switching.
Furthermore, we handle practical realisation (mise en pratique) of the candela, the luminous intensity unit, and we develop innovative standards for radiometry.
