The European Metrology Network for Advanced Manufacturing (EMN AdvanceManu) has published its Strategic Research Agenda, a document outlining the scientific and technological priorities in the field of metrology applied to manufacturing.
The European Commission has identified advanced manufacturing as one of six key enabling technologies, which drive innovation throughout the economy and cut across industries with a trend towards full convergence and integration. These technologies contribute to Europe’s leadership across industrial value chains such as the automotive and industrial robotics, with a direct impact on well-being, sustainability, and economic growth.
The SRA, developed in collaboration with key European stakeholders, provides a strategic vision for the development of metrology in support of industry, promoting the integration of metrology with advanced technologies in modern manufacturing environments.
