Saturday May 20 is World Metrology Day.
For the occasion, on May 15 at 02:00 pm, INRiM, in its role as the Italian Metrological Institute, organizes the webinar "Measurements supporting the global food system", with the aim of present some of the most prominent activities in Europe related to the measurements in the area of food.
The topics that will be covered are the followings:
- Initiatives for coordinating metrology in Europe in the agrifood sector and to support food safety and sustainability;
- Ongoing activities towards the development and validation of analytical methods for the characterization of specific food matrices;
- Focus on method development for quantification of relevant food contaminants.
