Effective June 23, 2026, by Decree of the Minister of Universities and Research, Dr. Marco Genovese was appointed to the Institute's Board of Directors, as an elected representative of the relevant scientific and disciplinary community.
The term of office shall be four years.
Dr. Genovese is Research Director of INRiM and head of the Institute's Quantum Optics and Photometry sector. An expert in the field of Quantum Technologies and Quantum Optics, he was a member of the INRIM Scientific Council for two terms.
After working for almost ten years in the field of subnuclear physics, contributing to the understanding of the structure of hadrons, over the last twenty-eight years he has oriented his research activity towards the creation and development of a group dedicated to metrological methods for quantum technologies and the study of quantum metrology, imaging & sensing, a discipline at the birth of which he has made significant scientific contributions.
