The evaluation of the quality of the grapes is carried out with traditional systems which consist in determining the alcoholic, acidic and polyphenolic content. In recent years, these methods have been supported by vibrational spectroscopy techniques (FT-NIR spectroscopy, MIR, Raman spectroscopy) for the evaluation of some parameters of grape ripening and composition of wines. These highly sensitive methods can also be applied with portable, inexpensive and easy-to-use instruments that allow you to perform measurements quickly, obtaining accurate results by comparing the reading with appropriate databases.
