INRiM announces a public competition for the recruitment of one fixed-term (one year) research position (Level III) under the following profile: Researcher.
The candidate will be chosen by qualifications and exams.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the following activities:
- Development and validation of strategies for the pixel-wise uncertainty estimation of EPT techniques;
- Application of the uncertainty estimation strategies to reconstructions obtained from different input data acquisition protocols, in order to identify the optimal ones;
- Performance analysis of EPT techniques, carried out by applying them to numerical simulations of “virtual patients”, i.e., digital models in which various types of pathologies have been introduced.
The call is open to candidates holding the following qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in one of the following classes:
- Physics;
- Biomedical Engineering;
- Telecommunications Engineering;
- Electrical Engineering;
- Computer Engineering;
- Mathematics;
- Mathematical-Physical Modelling for Engineering;

The selected candidate will collaborate, within the scope of the project ‘CSOC2 – Chip Scale Atomic Clock’, in the production and subsequent characterization of cells containing atomic vapors, which constitute the physical package of innovative micro- and nano-structured quantum devices. In addition, ad hoc optical spectroscopy setups will be developed for the characterization of the various atomic vapors.
