INRiM announces two research starter grants on the topic of “Development of data acquisition systems and data analysis methods for interferometric fiber sensing techniques applied to environmental and seismological monitoring.”
The activities, lasting six months for each grant, will be carried out at INRiM’s headquarters in Turin and will focus on the implementation of hardware systems for data acquisition, as well as the development of software and algorithms for the analysis of time series data for environmental and seismological monitoring through machine learning and data mining, the acquisition of fiber-optic interferometry signals, and the comparison of different fiber sensing techniques.

To apply for the grants, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a Master’s Degree (Laurea Magistrale) in one of the following fields: Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Engineering, Stochastics and Data Science, or an equivalent Specialist Degree.
Candidates who have obtained a degree from a foreign university are also eligible, provided that the qualification has been officially recognized as equivalent by the competent Italian universities or by the Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca (MUR), or has otherwise obtained such recognition in accordance with the applicable regulations.

INRiM announces a public competition, based on qualifications and examinations, for the recruitment of one fixed-term (two years) research position (Level VI) under the following profile: Technical Collaborator of Research Centres (CTER – Collaboratore Tecnico degli Enti di Ricerca).
The selected candidate will provide technical support to research activities within research and industrial projects related to national electrical power and energy standards and AC/DC transfer for voltage and current under alternating-current conditions.
The public selection procedure is open to applicants holding one of the following upper secondary school diplomas:

INRiM announces a public competition, based on qualifications and examinations, for the recruitment of one fixed-term (18 months) research position (Level III) under the following profile: Researcher.
The selected candidate will work on multifunctional magnetic nanoparticles for biomedical applications.
The call is open to applicants holding the following qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Industrial Biotechnology;
- PhD in Metrology, or three years of research experience (not part of the institutional activities of a PhD programme) at a university or qualified public or private research institution or centre, including abroad, in the field covered by the call.
