In July 2022 the Politecnico di Torino, in collaboration with INRiM and a consortium of universities and highly qualified research institutions, launched the national PhD Programme in Materials, Sustainable Processes and Systems for the energy transition.
Access to the National PhD Programme occurs through a competition, as provided for in the call for application.
The selection takes place on the basis of the candidates’ qualifications and an interview, which means the candidates’ abilities are evaluated through the examination of their educational and scientific curriculum and a mandatory interview.
Once you read the call for application, you can submit your application through the Apply procedure.
In order to access the competition, candidates must earn their Master’s Degree by 31st October 2022.
Call deadline: 31st August 2022.
Each scholarship is theme-bound, that is, there is a requirement for the recipients to focus their doctoral research on a specific topic and conduct their research activity at the host university offering the scholarship, as stated in this table published.
The scholarships will be assigned only to applicants evaluated by the board as eligible to be awarded a scholarship for that specific topic.
Applicants admitted to the oral examination must express their choice for at least 3 up to a maximum of 5 scholarships starting from 5 days before the beginning of the interviews of the relevant PhD programme and up to 12.00 pm (noon, CET) of the day before that the interviews begin through the on-line procedure available on the Apply@polito.it platform.
INRiM, as part of the National PhD Programme in Materials, Sustainable Processes and Systems for the Energy Transition, finances a scholarship in "Micro-/nano-fabrication for better metrology for new challenges posed by energy transition".
