Because of the complexity of the interaction between the object’s surface and measuring system, optical measurements are not often used in industry as they are not traceable.

The 20IND07 TracOptic project will explore methods to improve the traceability of 3D roughness and dimensional measurements on different kind of samples manufactured with classical methods or with new technologies by using optical 3D microscopy.
